Thanksgiving 2008

This year was our year to spend Thanksgiving with my side (the Shattuck family), so we went to my sister Shirley's house. As always, we had an enjoyable time, thanks for having us Stan & Shirley! There were 27 of us total, most of the family wasn't able to make but we still had plenty to eat and lots of good laughs. This was our first holiday without Mom, so it was kind of tough on us, but for the most part I think we all held our tears to ourselves. The first night we arrived it was my niece Charyl's birthday, so off to Bob Evans we all went. Then 2 days later, was my niece Megan's birthday and off to Los Amigos we went. Keegan's birthday was on the next day, so... we didn't run out of birthday cake that's for sure : ) We had a great time being with our family, I thank God that we have them all!

It is has been a tradtion for many years, that us aunts "play with" our nieces hair. When Crystal, Megan, Shauna & Chantal were little, they use to love to sit on the floor in front of us and let us make wonderful creations out of their hair. Even though all of them are 18+, they still like their aunts to play with their hair. Meg loves it so much that it relaxed her and put her to sleep. I wonder why she is sooo tired? Any ideas??? If you guessed that she will be a Mama in July, you guessed right! We are so happy for you Meg and LaM
