I thought I would put this in a post of its own, since Talon was the only one that entered in this category. He loves to be a clown and he thought this would be something he would really enjoy. After weeks and months of not having a clue what to do for this, one of our freinds/neighbors, Marlene, "hooked us up" with a retired hobo clown. We took what he shared with us and adapted it so it would fit into the time frame and criteria of the Clown Act guidelines. Talon wanted something funny and full of life, BUT...since he/we couldn't think of anything, it ended up being a mime act with a rather serious story-line. We told him there is always next year to create something funny. There were only 3 clown acts and he took 2nd place with his act, so we were proud of him and his accomplishments for his first-time trying.
Talon A.K.A. Boxcar, beginning his clown act!
Cleaning up the place and discovers; a bottle of beer, a box of cigs and some playing cards. He figures
no one is looking and these are things he needs in his life, so he sticks them in his bag for later use.
He can't figure out why these dice are laying at the foot of the cross??? He throws them away, not knowing they were left there, representing the gambling that was done for Jesus life.
This "word-less" book was at the foot of the cross as well. Not knowing what it was all about, he throws it away with the trash too.
He can't figure out what this "red stuff" is runing down the cross, so he attempts to clean it off.
Finally figuring out what all of this is about, he kneels "At the Cross" and asks for God's forgiveness, making him a new creature in Christ!
Talon receiving his 2nd place medal for his clown act!
Tell him we said congrats!
