FCA Award's Banquet & Graduation 2009

Well it has finally arrived...the 2008-2009 Frankfort Covenant Academy (FCA) Awards Banquet and Graduation! I can't believe another school year is behind us, but it is and what a GREAT year it has been! We are SOOO proud of our boys, Talon & Keegan, they have done a great job this year! Talon will join the "upper learning center" A.K.A, the high school department next year, and he is so happy about that. For some reason he is like all normal pre-teens and can't wait to hurry up and grow up, ugh! If he only knew what is ahead of him (bills, worries, more bills and more worries), he might not be so anxious, HA! We do not know what is ahead for our boys, but we pray that God will bless them and keep them! Keegan was nervous about going up on the "big stage", but he sure smiled when he got to jump up and receive his awards! All in all, we had a great banquet! --Now onto graduation, we had a great graduation too, one of the best I feel! I was asked the day before graduation by my pastor if I'd take pictures and I said "YIKES", but then I said "I'll so my best"! I so badly want to take some classes for photography so I will be able to know just what to do, when the lighting is to high or low, when the movement of your objects are going too slow or too fast, etc. I hope to be able to do that some day soon and start the photography business I have wanted to start, for years! Anyways, the singing, the playing and the guest speaker, Jonathan Heath, were all really good! The graduates all looked so nice in their caps and gowns are are now ready for the "real world". May God bless them as they head off to college and for what He has in store for them!
The awards tables all set and ready to go!
Mr. Coleman is our "new" principal, he is such a GREAT guy! We have had a wonderful school year, and this guy is one of the very reasons for that! Him and his wife have been such a blessing and wonderful asset to our school!! Thanks for all you guys have done to make our school one of the best around! Looking forward to another great year in 2009-2010!

Fishin' with Papa

Last week Papa come to visit us and stayed for 5 days and we had a very nice time! We had a "Play-doh Creations" afternoon, when we made items out of Play-doh and Keegan took 1st place with his snowman. Papa gave him .50 cents for his great accomplishment and that sure put a smile on his face! Of course the kids plum wore him out on a couple of the days as they played outside or played games all day long, ugh! The highlight of his visit though this time was...an afternoon of fishing at the lagoons. Keegan always wants to go fishing, but for some reason Daddy rarely takes him, so Papa thought that was a great idea. Daddy took the afternoon off and we all loaded up and spent several hours fishing. I didn't fish any but I enjoyed the beautiful sunshine and read my book : ) Talon isn't a fisher man, so he only fished the last 1/2 hour or so, so that is why I have no pictures of him. We had a very enjoyable time with Papa and look forward to him coming back again soon.

Papa helping Keegan hold his fishing pole, Papa loves the cane-poles and they are really hard for little guys to hold on their own.

This was Kallee's first time fishing and she loved it!

She sure loved reelin' 'em in!

Sara's Baby Shower

Well most of you know this but some don't...one of my best friends, Sara (Fritz) Derscheid, is getting ready to have baby girl #4! This wasn't a planned pregnancy, and I believe they (Sara & Tony) truly thought they were "done", but God had other plans for them : ) She has been pretty sick with the pregnancy and I guess this baby didn't want her sisters to "show her up", so she has given her Mama some trouble, just like the other ones did. Now that the sickness is all done and outta the way, she will be arriving in this big ole world on Tuesday, May 26th, YEA!!! We are sooo happy for them, we didn't expect to get to spoil a baby of theirs, but we get too! Ya see, they (S&T) thought it was so much fun to spoil our little Kallee girl and then send her home, or back down the pew (@ church) to us, so...ya know what they say about pay-backs (evil, evil grin on my face)! Anyways, we are excited to meet little Miss Megyn next week and we will enjoy all the pleasures of a new baby, except...the late night and early morning feedings, the many, many, many diaper changes, the little tantrums girls throw sometimes, the carrying of the very, large diaper bag, the puking/pooping all over your Sunday outfit you just put on, the buying of diapers, baby food, formula, etc. etc., the paying for school grades K-college, etc. etc., HA! HA! Those are just a few minor things we will leave all up to them, aren't we nice?!?! However, we can't wait to hold her, kiss her chubby cheekies, rub her baby, soft skin and love her lots and lots. Best of of wishes to you Sara & Tony, we know she will be a beauty! --These are some of the pictures I took of her, at her baby shower that the church held for her on Monday evening.

Kallee was so excited to give "the baby" this bear rattle and dress! I'm sure S & T will have lots of help holding her when Kallee's around : )

Joe's 30th Birthday

On Saturday after leaving the Kid's Fair, we attended two birthday parties. The first party we went to, was my nephew Joes, who will be turning 30 this week. I don't know how on earth my nieces and nephews can be getting sooo old and I'm staying at 25, HA ; ) We had a nice time at Joe's party, but we didn't stay long, because we had to be back in Frankfort to join "Grandma" Mowery for her 90th birthday celebration! Wow, can you believe that, little, young looking gal is 90?!?! I didn't get any pictures of her, which makes me upset, but oh well. We were happy to get to celebrate with both of them! Hope you both enjoyed your birthday parties and have many more to come!

Make a wish Joe!

Clinton Co. Kids Fair

Every year they have a Kid's Fair in our town sponsored by The Salvation Army and everything there is FREE, yee-haw! They have fire trucks, police cars, games, a dunk tank, jumpy bounce houses, snacks, a petting zoo, etc. etc. Each year a lot of the businesses donate bikes to this event and last year Keegan was lucky enough to win one of them! He wasn't that lucky this year, but there were a lot of kids that were...one being one of our Sunday School boys, Scooter! I should have taken a picture of him on his new, red bike, but I didn't think about it until it was too late. You could tell he was sure proud of that new bike, I was SO happy that he won it!!! Anyways, we had a lot of fun at this event and the kids got lots of "stuff" to add to their growing collection of "stuff", so all in all, we all came away happy!

Enjoying a look at the one of the fire engines Petting zoo
