Opening Nite for "Charlotte's Web"

Well it's finally here...opening nite for "Charlotte's Web"!!! We went on "family nite" which was Wednesday night, but we also went last night for the first "public performance". Talon was at the top of "his game", he is such a GREAT actor, if I must say so myself : ) He plays the role of "Templeton" the rat; a slimy, self-absorbed creature that eats during the entire show, HA! He had the crowd laughing last night, I think that's what drives him, the crowd's response is like what medicine is to the sick, LOL! He LOVES acting and we love seeing him act, he is so good at it! I think it is a great talent and that every parent should applause their child for their talents, as long as they are good talents, hee hee! He says he wants to perform on Broadway some day, so I guess we will see what happens. We checked into having him audition for "Beef & Boards" in Indy, but since they have Sunday practices and performances, we said NO WAY! I sure would love to get him involved in a theater program where he could get paid for acting silly, that'd sure be nice : ) If you haven't gotten your tickets, you need to call RIGHT AWAY as I believe they are close to selling out. The last few performances are: tonight (Friday, 1/30) @ 7:00p.m. and tomorrow (Saturday 1/31) 2:00p.m. & 7:00p.m. The number to call is 765-654-6307. The tickets are only $5.00, so that is nice on the pocketbook.
Templeton eating---AGAIN!

Charlotte and her web

Fern's mother trading Wilbur his first bottle, for his first bowl of food

"Templeton only watches out for himself"!

Templeton being woke up from his beauty rest, he wasn't too thrilled as you can imagine : )

Fern with her little friend, Wilbur

This in one of our friend's little boys, Dawson Cragun.
This was his first time to perform, he did a great job!

The press coming to report the "miracle pig" and the "miracle writings" in the web!

Charlotte writing one of her very last messages in the web, before she dies! Before she knits "Radiant" in the web, she makes Wilbur do all kinds of stuff to see if he is Radiant while doing them, such as: running, jumping, dancing, spinning, etc. It a hilarious part of the play to see a "pig" doing all that stuff : )

The cast of "Charlotte's Web"

Kallee loves to go see her big bubby perform and go on stage and see the actors and actresses!

Signs of a Snow Day

Today we received "the call" from Mr. Coleman (our principal) around 6:15a.m., that there was NO SCHOOL, YEA! We enjoy snow days around here; sleeping in, biscuits & gravy, playing in the snow, etc. When we heard we were suppose to get 6-8" of snow last night, we figured, yeah right, but...the weather-man was right this time around. We did get at least 6" here, so for that, we are thankful : ) Yes thankful, we love the snow! I don't mind it being cold if we at least have some snow to play in. I'm sure around March'ish we will be ready for that snow to vanish and for spring to be here, but until then...enjoy another one of God's miracles!
Keegan got first dibs on the computer this morning since Talon had schoolwork to do.
Talon getting his school work done so he can go out and play in the snow!

Yummy Sausage Gravy!

The farmers are so GREAT, they always come right down and clear the driveway,
thanks Need Family!

My Little Snow-Princess

On Sunday morning when we got ready to head to church, the snow was falling and I thought what a great photo opt. The dress Kallee is wearing in these pictures is from a friend of mine and the little bolero she is wearing, was made by my MIL. This was her Christmas dress in '07 and she looks so cute in it! She has wore it several times, but it is getting too small on her : ( I figured this would probably be one of the last times she wore it, so another reason to get some pictures of her in it. I think the pictures turned out really cute, especially since it was SUPER cold out and we snapped them off within 5 minutes or less. Enjoy!
What a little doll, if I must say so myself : )

She got this cute little purse from her Great-Grandma Hysel, it goes perfect with the dress!

This one didn't turn out --way out of focus, but I thought
I'd still keep it and put a vignette around it.

This was one of the last ones we took, she was getting really cold, brrrr!

Weekend Fun 1/09

This past weekend was a weekend full of fun! We attended Michelle (Wilhelm) and Brady's wedding on Friday night, Saturday night we were invited to the Davis' and Sunday night we went to Bev & Rhonda's house. I posted about the wedding in a previous post, so I won't go into any details about that. Angie invited us to their house on Saturday to spend some time with a "long lost friend", Keith Schuler (Phil's baby brother : ). I have known Keith for a long time and Angie has too. Since he hasn't been in the area for 9 yrs. she thought it might be nice for us all to get together, and it was! We shared lots of laughs and lots of stories (how to make fudge, how to clean up puke, how to get Keith married off, etc. etc.). It was great catching up with you Keith and now that you have moved somewhat closer, we hope to see you more often. --On Sunday morning, we had a WONDERFUL service! God's presences was SO real and received so well! As I stood there crying and singing, I looked out of the corners of my eyes to see people flooding to the alter, what a great time of prayer we had! Many people's burdens were lifted and many victories were won, thank the Lord! In the evening service we said our goodbyes to the Gardner family : ( We will miss you all, but we know you are where God wants you for now and we know He will help you connect with the needy people of Central Asia! After the service we went to the Poe girls' home, where we had lots of yummy food and lots more laughter. Thanks for having us girls, we really enjoyed ourselves. After leaving their house, we headed to New Castle for a few days, to be with my sister and her family. Jerry was able to work both days while we were there, so we were very grateful for that. My sister Shirley was preparing for surgery while we were there yesterday, so we had a few laughs about her yummy diet for the next few days; beef broth, boiled eggs, jello, etc. She came through the surgery just fine, so we are hoping she will recover quickly. --Well I must bring this post to a close as we are in Revival this week and I have to get dinner started. Stop by for a service, they all start at 7:00 and Bro. Parker is the evangelist.
This is such a cute picture of DeAnna, Sherry and Phil's little girl!

Kallee & Christina enjoying some chocolate cake!
Kallee REALLY enjoyed the cake : )

Gene & Kent, poor Kent was so tired he didn't want to wake up from his nap.
Kallee & Kent are just a month apart in age, here they are playing doctor. I'm sure glad I'm not one of their patients as they were using tools to check each others heart rates and such, HA!
Keegan & Connor enjoying some videogame time.
Leticia didn't know what to think of those crazy boys! : )
