Learning the "facts of life"...

Last night we enjoyed going to Pizza King in Lafayette and while we were there, Talon saw a lady with a rather large bust. He recently has had "the talk" with his father and whispered under his breath (but we overheard him), "I'm surprised we couldn't see her ni--les her shirt is so tight". Keegan being so sweet and innocent said, "what you say about nickels"? Of course Jerry and I lost it and laughed so hard we couldn't hardly contain ourselves. In return, Talon started laughing at us and poor Keegan continued to ask about the nickles and "why are you all laughing"? I know many of you may think Talon is too young for "the talk", but after he has asked over and over, "how do some people have babies when they are not married" ? Of course there have been other questions too, so... we figured it needed to come from us, rather than some smart, mouthed punk (to put it nicely) :)

  1. Janice: Talon is obviously the right age for "the talk" if he's asking questions. Also, you are so right that it should come from his parents with their perspective and not someone else! Good job! (I always feel I have the "right" to comment on and compliment good parenting because the Bible says for the older women to teach the younger... and I'm old enough to be your mother!)

  3. HeeHee -- that is so funny. Keegan will be wondering what is so funny about nickels until you are finally able to explain to him what happened that night. LOL

  4. That is funny! Recently we were in DQ after prayer meeting one night and a guy who was working there walked by our table. (He was not the same color as we were...) Parker spoke up really loud, "Man, that guy has a really big nose!" We about died! We had to tell him you don't always say out loud what you are thinking... KIDS!!!!!

  6. Welcome to BLOGLAND!!! I'll add you to my list! And welcome to the world of "things kids say that make you want to die on the spot!" Good for you having the talk with Talon, but poor Keegan! He'll have a phobia about nickels until he's old enough to understand! :)
