We're Back

In case if any of you want to know, we are home from MI. We had a nice time, as we always do! It was great to go home and see Mom & Dad for a few days, as well as, my sisters and some of my other family members. My one sister (Darlene) lives up there already, but my other sister Mary and her kids decided to stay up there for a few more days after her hubby returned home to IN. When my sister Shirley heard the rest of us girls were there, she didn't want to be left out, so she hopped in the car and made her way from IN too : ) --Mom is doing alright, but Dad sees her getting a little weaker each week. He is such a wonderful Daddy and husband! He is so helpful to Mom and does "pretty much" whatever she wants, to keep her happy and comfortable! I Love You Dad for doing those things for Mom, you are a blessing to her and our family! She is still taking chemo once a week, which I don't believe is really getting her better, even though she thinks it is, but at least it allowing her not to be in pain. When the doctor told us 2 years ago that he gave her a 1-3 years, we didn't expect her to live this long, but... We are very thankful that God has allowed her to be with us for these last couple years, He has been so faithful to our family! --Anyways, the rest of our spring break isn't going to be anything fancy, we plan on: cleaning the yard, cleaning the garage out, cleaning out closets and taking the kids out to dinner and going to play putt-putt or something like that. I know it doesn't sound too thrilling, but it is at least better than nothing. Have a great day and enjoy the sunshine!
