What Has Worked for You???

Ok ladies, what has worked for you in getting off those extra pounds??? I have started, once again, drinking over a gallon of water a day and trying to go on a bike ride or walk. Today Kallee and I rode approximately 1 1/2 miles on my bike and I am on 64 oz. of water...I don't know if it will work or not, but I HAVE to do something, ya know what I mean??? I was a good girl at supper last night and only had one helping on everything except the cole-slaw : ) I love fruit, so I am going to try replacing some of my daily sweets with a piece of fruit instead and get the stupid candy out of the house, ha! We shall see if it works and if I keep it up. So...what have you done to get those pounds off and keep them off? I would like to hear from Catrena and Louise since I have seen the amazing results they both have had with their weight loss!

  1. I'm doing Weight Watchers - Not going to the meetings though just using the old stuff I had from before. Anyway, I have lost 14.5 pounds since February 19!!! Rodney is doing the diet with me which helps me and he has lost 17 pounds. I drink lots of water, cut out sweets, and exercise at least 3 times a week! I actually started a weight loss blog that I'll invite you too as it is private! I don't want the male population reading my weight/diet woes! LOL

  2. Way to go Michelle!!! I would like to get rid of at least 10, but 25 or more would be better :) I wish my hubby would work with me on it, but I don't think that will happen. I imagine it is a lot easier knowing that your hubby is there "helping" you.

  3. I am a sweets freak. I cut back on the sweets a little and usually it comes off pretty easy. I am into my 30's now and it doesn't "fall of" like it used to. I still have about 8 lbs to lose from Tessa. I have to work a litle harder now. I just try to be more active outside when the weather is nice and hopefully that will do it. My family is known for being skinny until they hit thier 30's then it's all over!LOL

  4. Whatever Darlene!!! You are sooo skinny it makes me sick, lol! You would NEVER know you have 7 kids you are so tiny. I guess you and I do have two things in common; we both love sweets and our family members start putting on weight in their 30's, ha! I'm sure I will never be as thin as you, but I am sure going to try and shed a few pounds. Thanks for sharing your sucess story.

  5. If you wanted to meet in town sometimes I would love to walk or bike ride with you. I have been thinking about this issue too. But it seem so hopeless so I usually give up. I get lucky with the sweets things though. Because I really don't love a lot of sweets so that's not too hard for me to give up. Anyway I would be curious to see others ideas too.

  6. I'm doing the same thing as Michelle...doing Weight Watchers on my own. I also have a few friends that started a "Biggest Loser" club, and we're pretty good at keeping each other accountable. Exercising is KEY! Cutting back on sweets will help, and making sure you aren't drinking your calories. It always seems easier to lose weight when the weather is warmer and the fruits and veggies are fresh and more readily available. I'm on a mission to lose 100 pounds...so far I've got 90 left to go!!!! I pray you have great success!

  7. Before I hit 30 (I have heard that's the magic number for most women) I would just eat more salads and cut out any snacking after supper. After I had Janae, I would only allow myself pretzels, graham crackers and water after supper and I still lost - until she got put in the hospital and we were bored sitting there all day so I ate :(

Obviously, this depends on whether you snack after supper or not.

  8. I plan on starting a workout routine soon. My sugar is out of control and I want to be healthy again. I am going to start walking.
