We're Home, but Not for Long

Hi Everyone! We are back from our one-night get-away and had a nice time. Jerry didn't receive any awards this time around, but he has in the past and is working toward some new goals this year, so...maybe at the next state awards. However, the guy who won "Agent of the Year" (for the whole state of IN), plus many more awards, was a friend of ours, John Petty! John is my BIL's brother, so I have known him all my life. Congrats to John (and Tracie) for a job well done!!! As Jerry's DM (District Manager) said, "our agents couldn't run their businesses without supportive wives, so...here's to you Tracie : ) We had a really nice dinner, an Italian buffet style meal was served, so lots of great food and desserts, to select from. We had a great alcohol selection to choose from as well, but we were "boring" a chose not too, HA! We left around 10:00 to head to our room and no one was yet being rude from their drinks, but I imagine later in the evening, there were probably some very "happy" people. There was a band there and they were pretty good! They playing and sang all older stuff (50's, 60' and 70's, some 80's, but not much). We were able to sit with my sister Shirley and her hubby Stan, so that was a nice treat after mingling with people I didn't know, for most of the evening. My BIL's brother's, Dave & John Petty and their wives, Connie & Tracie sat with us too, so we had a nice time. My niece Meg and her fiance LaMorris came to stay with her parents, but we didn't get much time to talk to them (sorry guys). All in all, we had a nice time and why wouldn't we, it was ALL FREE, YEAH!!!!
